Desilvering a Mirror to Make a Window.
We created a mirror with a "window" in it by removing the protective paint on the back
of the mirror and then the silver, exposing the clear glass. The mirror was then installed in front of a TV, for the
ultimate high-tech effect. We experimented with a number of chemicals before we found the right combinations to remove
the paint and the silver without destroying the vinyl mask. Fortunately, we found some that were relatively non-toxic
but effective. Once we figured out the process it was not too difficult, but it requires a steady hand and lots of patience.
In the photo below, the guys are admiring their creation in the workshop before installation. Javier and Wesler and
the bottom half of Carlo, the photographer, are reflected in the mirror, while Javier's hand shows behind the clear window.

The next photo shows the final result. The fuzzy rectangle in the middle is the TV
behind the mirror. Soon we will post videos of the whole process. We think it looks great!

Our Latest Glass and Metal Railing Project Using
These elegant "twin" glass railings were just completed today. Panels of 1/2" tempered
glass were dry glazed into an aluminum shoe system. The shoe was then covered with brushed stainless steel cladding and the
final touch was a rounded brushed stainless steel railing. A great look!

Freeport Bahamas Government Complex
The photo below shows the outside of the Freeport Bahamas Government Complex where we recently completed the
installation of glass and steel railings. It's a very nice building and will be absolutely beautiful when it's
finished.

Freeport, Bahamas for Inspection of Completed Glass Railings: Beautiful!
We just completed a glass, metal and cable railing installation project at the new Freeport Government
Complex in the Bahamas and took a short trip to inspect the work, and it was very impressive. 116 pieces of custom-shaped
1/2" tempered glass were installed perfectly - not a single broken or mis-measured piece. We are proud to show
some "after" pictures of the final result (although the building is still under construction) that can be compared
with the "before" photos posted below on May 6.
